Newborn Screening |
||
|
Universal Newborn Hearing Screening is carried out to identify potential hearing losses within hours of birth. This leads to quick detection and enables the severity of hearing loss to be fully diagnosed, leading to early intervention. This can reduce the average time for the fitting of a hearing aid from 18 months to 4 months allowing the child to enjoy benefits in speech, social and emotional development. |
